    Default Bilstein B4 shocks

Anybody know if they are any good? I have coilovers ATM but with a littlun and living round lots of pot holes they are just not for me, so was looking at replacing with b4 shocks and some apex lowering springs, will It be lower than a standard set of Sri shocks?

Shocks have no bearing on the ride height. B4 shocks won't be quite as stiff as the SRi ones but will still be fine with lowering springs.

Hmm ok not sure whether to go for them, I'd like the ride height I had with the standard shocks on the apex springs so will think it over

Looked up reviews online and most places rate them but some hadn't realised they were shorter than standard shocks on their car models. So that meant it wouldn't take the longer slings so ideal for lowered springs and they've all said its a nice ride which isn't harsh but isn't like a boat, better than standard and great with lowered springs

Sorted then! As shocks go they're not vastly expensive either.

Loads of people have run B4s with Eibachs. They're not as stiff as the SRi shocks and not as soft as the standard ones. They're a bit between the two but they'll take 30mm Eibachs fine. People have even run Eibachs on none SRi GM shocks with no problems.

B6 is out of my price range, which is why when I see the b4's I thought I was onto a winner"/ wanted standard shocks but down want the prices that come with buying from Vauxhall and didn't want to risk buying second hand from eBay"/

I've seen pi do a suspension kit which is listed as lowering the car by 30mm (I assume it'd be 15mm lower that standard Sri?) would that be a good option?
