    Default Mileage issue..

Hmm bit of a problem going on here..

My speedo reads 94,521 miles yet via **com it says 90,907 miles (146,302 km)

Im assuming at some point the clocks have been changed before i got it? Can the mileage on speedo be re calibrated to read the same?
Or has an ECU been changed and not the clocks!?

    Im confuddled...

Speedo can be overwritten ECU is generally set in stone, however it is so slight that it's hardly worth worrying over to be honest.

Mine shows a difference of about 300 miles (at around 24000 miles). My son's shows a difference of 500 in 60 odd thousand. Your difference does seem a tad high by comparison.

Is the car running on different size wheels / tyres to the standard set up?
Can make the speedo over read by a bit. My speedo reads about 65 when my sat nav says 60mph. All ive changed is to 225/45/17 tyres from the standard size.

Going of what I said if it reads 5mph difference to true speed, that's 5 miles extra in every 1hr driving.

So if you drove at 65mph for 5 hrs a day that's 25 extra miles your mileage would show over the true mileage.

    25 x 5 days = 125 miles a week extra.

But surely this would affect both the ECU reading and the speedometer reading by (roughly) the same amount even if both are taken from different sensors?
