As most on here know I'm pretty heavily into photography, any style of photography, but in particular portrait photography and some people may have seen some of my threads in the photography forum on here, my Flickr account or my hobby photography website.
Anyway, I'm planning to try and move it up a notch and see if I can get myself up to a standard that is good enough to be able to earn some money from it in the near future and am looking for some "guinea pigs" for practice.
Basically, I'm offering to do (as close as possible to) studio standard portrait shoots for anyone and everyone on this site that would like one done. Completely free of charge, no cost to you whatsoever (beyond travelling to me for the shoot).
Individuals, families, kids etc etc all very much welcome, the only proviso on this is that at least one person per group is a member of Vec-C as this is something I'd like to do to help me learn but at the same time give back to the forum that's done so much for me over the years.
A few days after the shoot, you will receive a small selection of digitally processed high quality, high resolution printable copies of some of the shots from the shoot for you to do what you please with. There will be no restrictions at all on your use of them. I will retain copyright on the images of course under Uk law, but you will be free to do what you want with them. These will be made available to you at no cost, completely free of charge and with no catches.
So what's in it for me? Two things:
1: Practice and being able to build up my confidence photographing other people other than Amy.
2: The only requirement of me doing this for you (there had to be one catch right?), is that you accept that I can and probably will use some of the pictures in the galleries on my photography website and post them to my Flickr account for the sole purpose of showing my work to potential customers in the future. (The whole point of this is to make my portfolio look wider ranging and more appealing to future customers). Please note that if any of the subjects in the photographs are under 16 I can not by law post their pictures on my sites without written consent from their legal guardian so may request that from you, but of course will be happy to just not post ones of children on my site if you prefer.
I did such a shoot fairly recently for Steve (SHB1988) and Emily and Emily's little girl Sophie, here's a couple of examples (more in my thread in the photography forum).
For other examples of my work, please see my Website or my Flickr Account
FAO Mods: If this breaches any rules please remove/delete it if you feel that's necessary. However for the record I am offering this completely free of charge with no hidden costs involved whatsoever except to myself. I put this in Off Topic as I hope more people will see it here, again if it's felt it should be in the photography forum then so be it
