Im sure the bolts on my car were e18 as well, they loosened off a lot easier after using a bit of heat to soften the thread locking compound. The fronts were e20 bolts though and i guess the e20 socket will grip the e18 head on the rear but not as snug a fit as the e18 socket

E18 on the rears, E20 on the fronts. Rears will be TIGHT if not done before, spray with plus gas and use a long breaker and you will be fine. Wrong size socket WILL knacker the bolt head.

I've just the same bit of work...

They are a pain the butt, and you are turning them the right way??

Mine came off in the end though, a lot of WD40, Foul Language, and pulling on a breaker bar.
    I think they are 96lb/ft...Fronts are 170!!

    Matt
