i have this issue with my custom system we ( me and the fabricators) know what the issue is and are gonna sort it but as dean says it will follow the path of least resistance when one pipe can flow enough to not cause a restriction(back pressure) buildup, when your driving the amount of gas increases and the back pressure caused equilises the flow

    Shouldn't be
The Vectra C has a basic and simple system which simply splits the same single output
Therefore it suggests the internal baffles in the affected rear silencer have either failed or collapsed
Banging the underside will confirm if this is the case

The rear boxes are different sizes, and in fact some right hand sides of the Y section have a smaller bore. This promotes less flow from the right hand side, this is how it worked on my 2.0T system anyhow. Where as with the Irmscher Y section and the Irmscher Quads all 4 pipes smoke the same as both sides of the Y section and both rear boxes are Identical.
