    Default CDTI - Boost Solenoid

Anyone any pics of their engine bay and how the a boost solenoid is bolted, seems to be 2 bolts and a bracket next to the passenger light?

Also where can I pick up a new Vac pipe? The one on is too short, quick bodge to get it going, seems my boost solenoid went walkies while its been stood in the garage

mmm, not a reply on this one, lemme see if i can help...

thinking about it, yes it is bolted near to the nearside light, and is held to the slampanel by two nuts, you should see two outlets sticking out from it where the boost hoses go.

If your hose is too short you can get yourself some silicone replacement from ebay with 4mm ID as you say.

It's mounted on rubber bobbins. My threads were so rusted that the rubber broke long before the nuts. Going to remove the rubber from the bracket and re-mount with 2 of these (or similar): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380522153090

Got myself a new one from here: http://www.courtenaysport.co.uk/buy-...prod_1091.html. Incidentally, this seems to have cured the judder/hesitation/misfire between about 1500-2000 revs (touch wood) but note that the pipes come off at a different angle to the original. Also got some eBay 4mm silicone tubing. Nuts are (were) 10mm so threads should be M6.
