I have had problems with the plastic base ones popping out.

I went to metal based ones in my facelift and now its a perfect fit.

I know that some others have not had the experiences that i had mind you but its only metal based ones for me now.

Ah and to answer you question no you won't need any holders. Its a straight fit for the H7 bulbs

My kit came with plastic base bulbs. I ended up ordering metal base ones as they popped out. I did file the plastic base a bit which helped but it was playing on my mind so bit the bullet and spent a tenner!

Never had any issues with base types, my last set however the spade connectors seemed a little thin, had to buckle them a little and taped them in the block just to be on the safe side...

I've got plastic bases on my HIDs. Only time they've popped out in the 3+ years they've been fitted is by manual intervention when I changed a blown bulb approx 12 months ago. The replacements (also plastic bases) have remained in place too.

What would be better going to buy metal based ones just in case the plastic ones wont fit, the bulbs coming with the kit are 6000k, but was thinking of buying 5000k bulbs has anyone got a picture of 5000k as they look like they don't have a blue tint to them
