    Default injector no 3 connector

My 1.9 150 came with the modified (blue) injector connectors from the factory, but last night at 1.20am on the m6 i lost a ton of power and the car was running on 3 cylinders. made it to services at 40mph in 4th on hard shoulder. got out the car and wiggled no3 (having never had this issue on my car, but replaced the wiring on my dads 93) and instantly fixed it. back on 4 cylinders made it back to kendal but i still felt the occasional missfire.

Looks like the modified connectors might only be good for 96k miles! Will try electrical cleaner and report back. anyone else had issues with the modified connectors?

Halfirds electrical cleaner brought a load of dirt off the contacts of no 3 injector connector. I have a load of miles to do over the next couple of days so fingers crossed that's sorted it.

Also put a bottle of diesel magic in the tank just for good measure!

Cleaning didn't work! Soon as engine got up to temp it started misto sfiring and losing power. had to use cable ties to make the contact good. it held for the remainder of my journey (about 60 miles) but i think it may be occasionally slightly missing.

Will have to replace the connector.

CONCLUSION: even the new style connectors suffer the same fate as the previous versions on injector #3. At least in my case anyway.

Id be interested to hear if anyone else has had issues with the new connectors.
