    Default Flashing glowplug light

Hi guys, recently had my dfp out after a catastrophic fail ( blew my flexi exhaust in two and shot a boost pipe off) car drove normal for a week and its gunna be a few week before i can remap. The glowplug light came on flashing tonight, will it regen with the sensor out or just keep flashing till mapped? Any help greatly appreciated guys

    Thanks Matt

Normally the glowplug light flashes to indicate it's actually doing a regen. On some cars anyway. Software update stopped the light flashing because people thought it was a fault.

The light will flash as car is confused so will be looking to do a regen but you want to get the software removed asap

I dont think it was actually doing one the mpg at 70 in 4th gear never got below 35 and at a stand still was between 0.1 & 0.4 gall/hour depending on the engine temp. And the light was flashing for a good hour n half whilst being driven, also forgot to mention the sensor is tied up under car

    Thanks Matt

I never said it would but that's what it wants to do as you've removed it and the ash levels have not been reset

It will flash and continue to flash, it will occasionally try to regen but not properly, it will idle at approx 0.3 gal/hr whilst trying.... My dpf was removed a few months ago and not got around to getting it mapped out yet. Dont forget whilst its trying this is diluting the quality of the oil, run it too long and you'll need an oil change too.

deffo getting louder due to the quality life of the oil was thinking of getting some oil and doing a change soonish.

    done about 2k since lol,

also will be louder because of less noise suppression (sp?) offered by the combined CAT/DPF
