Default Ordered a new car to replace the vectra as family car

Well after months and months of deliberation we wandered into a Ford showroom and ordered a new one of these fellas...............

........yes I know it's a Focus. Only went to look at a used Mondeo Titanium...and the missus didn't even like the Focus this time last week!! That's not the actual car but it looks exactly the same. Zetec S in white with upgraded 18" wheels and optional city pack. Got a cracking deal!! It's only a 1.6 tdci but it's punchy, pulls well, sits on motorway nice, 6 spd box and.....£20 a year to tax. Well chuffed!!

My dad has had about 130000000000 fiestas so I'm merely keeping up with tradition....honestly. I tried going down the Insignia or astra route but Mrs Marky was having none of it. We were like kids in a sweet shop though when we saw that Focus though.

Loving those titanium x sports. We got a PCP so might trade it in after 3 years for one of those when it gets facelifted this year.

As much as I like the look of the Focus (and Mondeo) and the equipment level (which often puts other manufacturers recent releases to shame), after bad experiences with previous Ford cars I wouldn't touch another one; not even a hire car, nor if it was free, nor if I won one

On a recent Police evaluation the Focus came bottom on feedback from officers using them
The main reason was the lack of space, to carry both equipment and within the cabin
