    Default diesel return to pump on stand still?

    hi guys

    am having a few problems with starting up ive had a machanic out and he start there was a air lock and the the diesel is returning to pump so when i try and start the car theres no fuel getting to the rail

    hes sorted it and it started fine took it for a spin everything ok
    untill this morning now the same thing has happened

    does any1 know why this keeps happening ???

    Sounds like you have a very small leak?? Which is allowing the fuel to drain back.

    where would the leak be?? any ideas?

    Can you see any diesel that has leaked out? Around the injectors, fuel pump etc? If diesel leaks out, then air will leak in. Other then that, is there a non-return valve that has stopped working. Sorry, not a diesel man myself.

    Leak off pipes on the injectors? Could the mechanic not at least try and locate this for you?

    are the leak off pipes expensive to replace once ive found the leak that is?

    the mechanic is coming tomorrow morning to see he can get it started i just wanna no how much am looking at before he charges me a fortune to get replaced

    No more than £20 for the pipework. Should take around 30 mins to fit diy
