Default Suspension 'clunks' when cold. Anyone got any knowledge.

Hi all, my 3.2 v6 has developed a clunk when i hit even shallow bumps in the road but it only seems to do it when its cold. It sounds like its coming from the front off side but not 100% on that. Cant see anything wrong underneath but a bit dark when i looked. Any one got any idea what it may be. Done 28,000.

Take your pick.... it could be any of the following that need checking..

    radiator mounts
    front springs needed the mod
anti roll bar links and mounts
    track rod ends..

it'll have to be looked at by someone who knows what to look for..

    Hi
I owned your car till about 11 months ago, always had noise from the suspension, must have taken it to at least 10 diferent places but never could find a fault! it's not the rad mounts as I had them done, along with track rod ends.

i took mine in today for back parcel shelf problem, but i did ask when pulling off my drive i get a clunk on the drivers side. VX told me that there is a rubber cover that goes round the spring that stops the cluck and if not greased right this will perish and cause this type of problem. they have ordered me a new set of rubbers and going to be replaced next week on warrenty

    mine has 11,000 miles

get it checked m8. i would say its the same as my problem

Also I've been told by my local VX Workshop manager is if the top bearing in the suspension strut is too tight this can cause a twang...
