Default P0104 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Intermittent

    Hi,

Just pulled the subject fault code from my ECU as the light came on this morning. Do we know what the typical cause is for this? (Z19DTH Engine)

Not sure if it is coincidental, I cleaned the intake manifold boost pressure sensor at the weekend, with carb cleaner. Have I likely destroyed the sensor, or do I posibly have another fault?

    Thoughts appreciated

    Check for any intake leaks.

I did replace the air filter and temporarily removed the mass flow meter + pipe to do this. Will revisit this tomorrow, see if I missed anything.

Did you do it with the ignition on?

Sensor was cleaned with ignition off. Pretty sure I only saw the light after starting and running the car today.
I have cleared code now, will see if it comes back tomorrow. If so will check sensor is re-fitted correctly, intake pipes are good, then look at replacing sensor if necessary.
