    Default insignia elite or sri?

been looking at both and torn between the two specs, seems the sri would be newer reg and lower miles but wondering what toys id miss out on if i go for sri, both would be 160 diesel and hopefully white

If you want toys, then the Elite comes with pretty much all of them as standard. Only thing of note really missing would be the Flexride system. The SRI's could have all the options fitted at the factory but its a bit of a lottery as to what you'll find on the market with it already installed etc.

Problem with the Insignia, is that if you do have a pretty standard SRi, upgrading to include the "toys" is not like the vectra.. Its a far more convoluted process and would suspect in many cases just not financially viable.

I think as the Insignia is not noticable as an SRI like the Vec was, you might as well go for the elite. Only reason for the Vec SRI was it's clear differences externally and the lower suspension. These aren't as noticable on the Insignia.

Personally I'd get the elite and change the suspension/exterior if I wanted.

I bought a 10 plate elite saloon cdti 160 about 6 weeks ago mate.
It has dab nav bluetooth drl flexride.
The adaptive headlights are really good, the mainbeam switches itself on and off!
Really pleased with the car, although the flexride doesnt seem to change much.
Mpg is about 40 mostly around town.
One piece of advice I was given by a mate who is a vauxhall mechanic was dont buy an ecoflex.
He says I wouldnt like one too underpowered, but my last car was a vec c gsi!
