Default Intercooler radiator removal without water radiator

    Hi all,

Quick question, is it possible to remove the intercooler radiator without the water radiator. They seem to be attached together so I'm thinking both have to be removed and then separated once its off.

Its held on at both top corners with torq screws. So yes you can separate the 3 rads apart. The bottom corners is held by mounts. So undo hoses, only both bottom sides, unscrew top corners, lift it up slightly to get bottom brackets free and bring it down away. Job half done!

    Do same reverse.

    A question, why?

Yeah, I managed to do it 5 minutes after posting lol. It was the top screws, I found it difficult to get to them, but managed it with the ratchet screwdriver in a bit of an awkward angle.

And because I hit the car a couple of months ago and either this or the water rad is leaking after being dented inwards. The water radiator looks okay, it's gone ever so slightly inwards at the place of impact in the accident, but it looks fine. It has a little patch where you can tell a liquid has got on, but I think that's just come from the intercooler radiator.

Intercooler dont hold any fluid its air filled. While u're there. Start engine, check for air leak at the intercooler rad, same time inspect where leak coming from, only 2 holds fluid is air con (green) and coolant rad (blue or red depends on which coolant u used)

    Report back...

Yeah hard to get to but use flexi sockets which makes it easier.
