    Default 2.8T rough idle

    I've had my Elite 2.8T for about 4 months, 5000 miles with me, 64k in total. Apart from the standard drinking problem, no engine issues.

    Last night, I did a stop-start journey of 40 miles, then left the car for about half an hour. Starting it up again, the idle was a bit... off. Not so much lumpy, but sat in PARK the engine would be smooth as silk for 10 seconds, then the revs would drop to about 5-600rpm and feel like the engine was going to cut out for a few seconds, then go back up to 800rpm or so and feel fine. Driving felt OK after a couple of miles but seemed to lack something until then. Today it felt fine.

    In retrospect, the engine must have sensed a warm start as it didn't do the normal 1200-1500rpm "cold" idle.

    All 6 spark plugs were done about 6 months back, oil is still a decent honey colour and at the right level, so the likely suspects are the coils or HT leads - does that sound right? Apart from Tech 2, is there anyway of testing them?

    Yep sounds like a cool pack to me matey
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info
