    Default Sludge in header

    Another post by me.

I have oil mixing with coolant in my header tank.
After long looks there is no oil cooler on the 2.2 direct (Z22YH please confirm). What is the cause of this??
The head gasket was replaced a month ago.
We did find coolant leaking as 1 of the clips was not over the pipe to the cylinder head. Would that be the cause?

    Don't think so.
Dipstick was out today and it still looked the same. Will have a look under the cap later/moro

Best of luck there. Just had the same myself a couple of weeks back. The worrying thing is that the cause could not be found. The first indication was a low coolant level warning light. Last march the cam chain was replaced after bouncing and taking out a few valves; the head was off then. I am now going to keep a close eye on matters and if it repeats then it's going.

The water pump seal was a suggested possible culprit on here but the garage said it wasn't that.

    Oh mines a 2006 2.2 Direct auto.
