    Default turbo fulll of oil help lol

    Had car up on ramp taken the metal air pipe off and its full of oil so its 100% knackered turbo so does anyone want to shed some light on removal or is there a how to for the 2.0 petrol turbo thankjs in advance

    You can remove it and send it away to be rebuilt or replace it with a better turbo and a remap. Depends on how much you wish to spend.Removal is not so hard its just snapping studs that will be cause for concern.

    UPDATE its off gone to local place for a refurb he took it apart whilst i was there and said it looked like it had run on crap oil ive only done less than 10000 miles since i got it 12 months ago so prob down to previous owners whats the best grade to use in it and is semi or full synthetic best

    i run mine on 5/30 fully synth, i tend to use Castrol as I can get a good discount with my halfrauds trade card plus its nearby, but the Mobile 1 or GM stuff is just as good.

    Bad/contaminated oil is the biggest killer of turbos. I change mine every 5-6k or 6 months with an engine flush on every other oil change to keep the oil jets for the chains clear.
