    Default Trade club battery

I replaced the alternator last month as it packed in and since a -5 spell we had last week i think the battery is now on its way out as it when it turns and starts the clocks seems seem to die then come back to life almost as if the battery is being depleted by the engine. Has anyone got any idea how much vauxhall are asking for their batterys before i hit halfords armed with the trade card, many thanks.

Thanks guys great help. Do you think it would be ok to put a 100ah battery instead of the old 70, can any problems arise from this? Many thanks

No it wont cause any problems, the more powerful the battery the better.

Have you got a diesel or a petrol??

If it's a diesel I would get one of those Varta Silver 74Amp batteries for £78. Diesels need a bit more oomph to get them started (especially in the cold) and that Varta Silver has quite good CCA at 750.
