    Default Sub Boxes

I was lucky enough to find an amp the other day that I didnt even know I had. It got me thinking about putting a system in. I already have a decent Alpine head unit, a Polk Audio sub and a Rockford Fosgate sub, different to the "extra" one that I stumbled across.

My question is though, the Polk sub is in a box that was made to lean against the rear seats in a Pug 306 which was my previous car. I never got to fit all the bits in it though before the car died. The sub box though doesnt really have anywhere to sit flush in the boot. There are 2 plastic trims, one on either side in the boot just up by the rear seat. These stop a box sitting flush on the floor in the boot.

I then looked at putting a box towards the nearest end of the boot as you stand at it, where the storage cubby holes are. Again, I couldnt see how this would fit flush due to the wheel arch sticking out into the boot.

So, my question is, if anyone has a sub box in their boot, how is it mounted? Some pics would be ideal if you have any. I need ideas!

    Thanks in advance.

i have mine right at the back of the boot in the centre on top of those plastic trims, i have then strapped it in using elastic luggage cables, one going on top over the sub box, and the other coming around the front of the sub just on the sub box but below the sub rim. HTH.

Some pics of your boots with the boxes in would be ideal if you dont mind. Im very curious as to how you have overcome the problem of the plastic trims on the boot floor right near the rear seats. Are you just resting the boxes on them? Have you made cut outs in your box to accommodate the trims? etc etc.

Make a fibreglass base for it to sit on or re-make the box out of fibreglass

Bit excessive for what Im after but if I was going down that route, I would mould it to the side of the boot to take up less space.

You could put 4 legs on the bottom of it so the back 2 legs sit in between the plastic parts and have the front 2 spaced as far apart as possible. I have photos of mine but my boot install is fully fitted, so not much use for your requirements.
