yep the front brakes and a fractured front coil spring, anyway seen as how we need the car especially a week before we move house, it had to be sorted, so new discs and pads at the front and a new spring too, and while my local garage was at it, i asked if they could fit my rear discs as i`ve had those for a few months in the front room to get round to fittin them myself, so i have noticed that the drivers side of the car is a little high until it settles down, would i be right in sayin that the front brakes are goin to need to bed in before they can be used normally, if you know what i mean, if so how many miles are we talkin

no, it was my local garage that changed the spring, so only one was changed the passenger side looks as though it was changed recently before i bough the car as that looks new too, not rusty looking and doesn`t match the metal in which it sits in, doesn`t look as weathered

ah in that case then i`ll have to think ahead and adjust my braking distance while i`m out and about, cheers for that
