    Default Fly Eyes Kits illegal?

Just read on another forum that people with fly eyes kits fitted are failing there MOT tests due to reduced light out put. Anyone had problems off here? The company who makes these kits have also gone quiet on the facebook page and wont answer anyones questions.

I have flyeyes on front headlight's, might just strip them off as MOT is in Jan. I also bought some more a while ago for rear lights but tried to fit them over weekend and it just tore in my hands

I did email them to complain as you could stretch fronts when I applied them, but slightest pull and these just fell apart.

I had very very tinted tail lights on my vec. And i had to polish them vigourously to get to the required level to pass MOT(never used them on the road till i got the nod of approval from MOT centre) But were still pretty much black!

I had flyeyes on my headlights and passed MOT without issue. Maybe due to it being a mesh so it lets more light through. I've just bought some more flyeye for my gt-four, just got it MOTd at the weekend so i know i have at least a year with them. I know things are getting stricter all the time with MOTs so you can pass one year and not the next. Getting slightly brighter bulbs or even hids would be a good precautionary measure if you are fly eyeing your headlights.

As for smoked side repeaters, i dont think anyone cares enough to be honest!

@bigmac: did you use heat? I always use a hairdryer and they are very very stretchy and flexible when hot

Didn't use heat as i only used hairdryer to activate glue last time. They streched fine before but this new batch had been sitting for a few moths and as soon as I pulled it just tore
