    Default 150 chugging

    I'm sure this is a very common problem as is everything with a CDTi 150

    when it's idling it tend to sound like its missing and vibrates the whole car doesn't sound good at all, have changed the 3rd injector but the wire is maybe longer than it used to be, if that makes a difference.


    also as opposed to blanking the egr can I just unplug it till I get blanks?

    Unplug the EGR, it will remain closed

    The last time I unplugged it the egr pipe round at the exhaust manifold burst and cost a fair wedge to put right, was this just a coincidence?

    There's a member on here who only plugs the EGR in for his MOT. Says it runs much better Can't remember his name though

    I have since unplugged my egr valve and it has stopped this, any reason why?

    If I plug my EGR in my 120ps I have the same problem - started off as a minor judder/miss and is now almost undriveable if plugged in - but it's not the EGR unit itself as I've tried 3 different EGRs, including a new one. I have put it down to an electrical fault to the EGR although I have no definite proof that this is the case. I've had it mapped out now and just leave it unplugged.
