Default 1.9 150 Diesel injector removal

Hi im looking for the best method of removing injectors on a 1.9 150 diesel engine. I have soaked with plus gas and tried pulling them out by hand but no luck. I have heard about attaching a slide hammer to the top of the injector to pull it out, any ideas will help.

slide hammer best way, another way is to loosen the clamp slightly and fire the engine, pressure should loosen the injector enough for removal by hand! slide hammer is the safest choice tho

Easy job, two large flat blade screwdrivers prising at each side will pop them out easily, Hole can be cleaned out with a garden hose attached to ur vacuum cleaner.

Is it the bolts/brackets that have jammed or the injectors themselves, my 04 with 100k just popped off by hand?

The engine has done 50k miles, the brackets are loose, tried by hand no luck. I only tried with one screwdriver should have tried two DOH!. I have purchased a injector puller just waiting for it to arrive, i need the head off the engine hence the reason for removal.

Just an update on the injector removal, tried with two large screwdrivers still would not move, so i bought a slide hammer with the attachment for the injector and managed to remove all four two came out ok the other two needed a bit more work they were seized into the bores, the plus gas had worked its way down the sides so helped with removal.

A tip for anyone doing it this way you need to remove the top of the injector to attach the slide hammer but be careful there is a spring, washer and colet to collect when the top is removed.

I let my seized injectors sit in diesel overnight then, tapped them back and forth till they loosened up
