my fogs are on everytime i get in the car, day or night, fog or not. there my drls.

Don't get me started on fog lights, they annoy the crap out of me too, thankfully I am aware the Police do pull people and give them a "friendly warning" but still people persist on blinding others.

I have seldom seen a genuine situation where rear fog lights are anything other than a real danger as it can become difficult to tell them apart from brake lights.

Not really - it's the law. They are not DRLs and are only to be used in 'seriously reduced visibility'.

Can't see a problem with it apart from the law thing ,drl's on some more modern cars are brighter than a vectra's front fogs

Funniest is modern cars like VWs that light a single fog light according to which way the car is turning. Saw one go through the slalom near the local shops and it just looked like it had faulty fogs. What a completely pointless "innovation".
