    confused Eml light

    just blanked off egr and no light has come on is this the normal thing called txautosport and asked about a remapping but not got the funds at there prices at the moment the man there said to drill about 30 1\2inch holes in to the bottom of air filter dox and this will get more in to the system quicker will this do anything or was they pulling my leg

    They are talking balls!! DO NOT DRILL THE AIR BOX.
    If you drill it, you will draw in hot air, dropping performance at bottom end and reducing fuel economy. The box is restrictive but to over come this, goto Halfords, get some cheap 50 or 55mm flexible ducting, cut a hole the the bottom section to accept the ducting and pipe in a second cold air feed.

    How badly are the intake tempatures affected with a second cold air feed and is it worth doing?

    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    Nice way to reduce performance with heat soak.

    No doubt they'll try sell you a full cold air fed induction kit with your map due to reduced performance due to heat.

    Intake temps will not change with a second cold air feed, it is coming from the same place :/ If you drill the box though the temps will rise.

    thanks for your anwsers when cutting the hole into the bottom section do you do it below the air filter drill on the engine side so the ducting comes out of the air box were does the other end of the ducting o in to

    thanks for that thread mate off to the scrap yard we go to get a new box after taking notice from the guy at txautosport i think i get more help from people on the forum than the garages i call
