How to drain fuel filter housing?

Hi

I have the Y30DT and have changed the fuel filter a few weeks back, but can anyone tell me how I drain the filter housing?

I currently have the 'spanner' symbol flashing and cannot start the car - manual suggests this might be water in the filter

take the top off the filter housing , remove the filter and then just lift the filter housing out if its runners ( upwards )empty it and replace back in its runners ( youll see what i mean once you remove it )

I thought there was a valve at the bottom of the filter to undo. Water sits below diesel so it will come out first

Yeah there is a valve but it's easier to remove it
