    Default petrol reduced from today

just a reminder that some supermarkets are lowering the price pf petrol today, in most places it should be under £1.30, still expensive but every little helps.

unfortuantly the price of derv will be staying the same.

Oh well, I had a 10p off per litre voucher which would be more than the price drop, but would have been nice to have both lol Realistically we're only talking a couple of quids difference for a tank in the price drop anyway (yes it all helps, but not worth driving the extra distance for usually lol)

Makes my sh** itch when diesel is cheaper to produce and always used to be cheaper. Just goes to show greed always plays the part.

Thank god for the supermarkets. God only knows what it would be without them. Saying that I filled up 2 weeks ago at Tesco, drove around the corner and both Shell stations were 1p a lt cheaper.

Had to laugh, yet again, at the BP pricing desk
Unleaded and Diesel went up 2p yesterday (which we didn't apply)
This morning they put them down 3p
So our customers have seen a 1p drop this morning

Expect prices to stay at this level in preparation for the 3p increase in January 2013

Especially as diesel is a by-product left over from producing petrol

The change in fuel duty came about after the sudden increase in demand from car users and the associated increases in pollution
This inevitably resulted in the increase in price
Ironically the volume used per mile has remained pretty much unchanged

Personally, I can see a shift in new car sales away from Diesel back to Unleaded

Yes I figured that,.. if people use it,... tax it more. They don't like us saving money
