    Default Bluefins on 280bhp VXR

Has anyone bluefined their 280bhp VXR.
I know that quite a few people have used a bluefin on their 2.8 Signum's and 255bhp VXR's and had good power and torque gains.

Only asking as yesterday I had my Thorney map taken off and have bought a bluefin now.

mine was an AMD map ...but as I didn't have a sport button it was causing problems ...I ended up with a superchips map that was tweeked up for my Signum .

Not sure if Bluefin is a superchip map anyways .

according to their website .you will get just over 301BHP ..which seems to be the standard for a remapped VXR .

the blufin unit for the 255 model ie the map is different to the 280 models as the 255 models gets a bigger gain from the map as it gets the 300 bhp and nigh on 400lbs of torque which is what the 280 models get with the blufin unit as well

    Correct

Its the same map in the bluefin between the 255 and 280's as once they are 'bluefin'd' the map they run is the same.

the only difference between the 255 and 280 from standard is the software and the bluefin units put them both on the same software hence running the same power.
