Default Virgin Media price increase, save money now!

I got a letter from Virgin Media the other day telling me about a £5 price hike happening in 2013.

Over the past few years they have been increasing their prices to the point I was going to tell them to stuff it.

I was paying £55 (going up to £60 in 2013) for:

30mb broadband (still waiting for the promised double speed increase which is not due now until late 2013)

XL TV package with Tivo Box 500GB and second HD box (which is supposed to be free). The second box is fitted in the bedroom which already has an aerial socket and the TV has freeview

    XL phone package

After calling them I am have now saved £25 (£30 from 2013 as I am told the package they have put me on is not going up)

    So the new package is:

    30mb Broadband

M TV with Tivo 500 GB

    XL Telephone

So for the sake of a bunch of TV stations I do not watch and one less electrical appliance switched on I am now paying £30 a month!

If they hadn't have put their prices up I would not have bothered calling them so they are now going to be £30 out of pocket and I am saving £30.

Make that call now and save some dosh

Forgot to say because they are increasing their prices you have a right to come out of any agreement you have with them as they are changing the terms of the contract

I am in the same position, and I only have Large Tv(no HD never mind Tivo), Unlimited Talk and 10gb Internet(and yes as you say still no sign of the double speed broadband either) and my standard cost is £54, going up to £59 from February/March. I have priced the same via Sky and its going to be £49. Trouble is not any good when it comes to the whole Gimme more for less and no im not paying to have a tivo box installed. I find it easier to say Bye, im leaving, trouble is most sau ok, byee back, lol.

Das you should be able to get the same deal I am on and all it takes is a call to 150, just tell that you are leaving due to the price hike.

    150
    press 1
    press 4
    press 6

You do not have to be a good haggler just ask for their best deal, what have you got to lose?

I did that and was quoted a revised price
I then received an email, "Sorry to see you are leaving, goodbye"
    VM terminated my TV service!
I phoned back a day before it was due to terminate, "Sorry, your service has now been cancelled so there is nothing we can do for you"

As far as I am aware VM are required to provide a full list of price changes
    Does anyone have the link?
Equally, each time there has been a price change I have received an email a full six weeks in advance; nothing so far
