    Default lowering Vectra C

    hi,
i know its been asked loads on here and iv done a search to have a look at some peoples cars with different set ups. Just wanted an up to date verdict on what people recommend?

at the moment im running FK coilovers and to be honest i hate all the knocks im getting from them at the rear. Of course i will be gutted if i have all the same sounds when i change them but i think the main reason im taking them off is because they only have a front axle weight of 880kg and mine is 1060kg so its bit over at the minute.

    Iv been looking at:

    Apex -35mm drop
    Pi 45mm Drop

both on the standard shocks.. iv never had any issues with Pi springs in the past but what are peoples thoughts on running them with standard shocks?

also anyone used cheap coilovers off ebay? are they likely to be just as rubbish as the FK coilovers that i have on now?

pictures would be help full as well stating what drop you've got

I want the wheels to just sit level or a little in the arch im going to be putting 19" VXR rims on so gives you an idea. Also want to keep a little bit of ride comfort (mainly knocking noises i want to keep to a minimum)

    Cheers Craig

Have you considered the Eibachs? Superb ride quality and a good drop (-30mm) without making the car impractical...

i have considered them but there rather expensive. Thats the perfect ride hight on that car.. just what im looking for to be honest. If thats only -30mm then i guess -35 will look just as good.. What weight did you order them for?

I can't remember exactly what weight I went for but they were the correct ones for the car. Sorry that's not very helpful.

i had pi springs on my V6 Calibra. They were good on the whole but used to get the odd grumble from them occasionally.

iv had Pi on every single car iv had and iv been impressed with them all the time. I think there around £101 for the vectra C for 45mm all round. Dont think they do 40mm. Its a hard choice.
