    Sure its just a question on the application. Bound to effect the premium though, like they need an excuse.

    I used a short-term insurer once, borrowed my brothers car for a few days a couple of years ago, only cost £35 for 4 days i think. Way less than what it would have cost to add it to my insurance temporarily.

    As long as you tell them the car is not registered to you, it'll be fine

    yeah better to be a named driver or if you have full comp insurance on your car and the other car is insured you should be covered 3rd party as long as you have permission to drive it but double check your policy not all companys do it

    It's my car but I'm gonna let my mate run the CDTI for few months, just don't want to add another owner when not needed... He's with admiral and I know they can add a car, I'll get him to ring them properly tomo...

    Just watch, you're not supposed to have 2 insurance policies on one car so make sure if you have a policy, of your own, that you let your own company know first

    My car is in my dads name but I insure it just tell the company you can even tell them online

    you would have to have a policy then or they wont let you tax it
