Default Vectra C Elite speaker wiring

    Hi all,

After installing my parrot mki9200, the dashboard centre speaker is not being cut out by the parrot.

Does anyone know which colour wires are for that speaker please, so I can either disconnect it or try and find out how to mute it

    TIA

Unscrew the speaker and remove it. Just lift up the plastic cover and you will see the srews (Torx)

    Hi Gaz,

I was told I needed SOT122 autoleads, which I bought and fitted.

I'm no mechanic or electrician when it comes to cars, hence all my questions, as I like to try and fix problems before asking someone else to do it.

Any advice, pictures & suggestions gratefully received. :y

I was told it was just plug and play. I've connected all the relevant leads together, but as mentioned in an earlier thread, There was 3 wires either on the parrot kit or SOT leads that were labelled Mute No1, 2 & 3.

These were just wires on their own and not in a block

There is a short pink wire that comes out of the block in the back of the cd70.

When I first connected everything up, I had "External In" on the display and couldn't get anything to work.

When I pulled the radio back out, it went off. Turned out this pink wire was touching the radio chassis and causing it to "earth" I guess. So I taped it up and left it and everything seemed to work ok, except this ****** speaker, lol.

If this is the same pink wire, which red wire do I connect it to? One of the mute wires that I mentioned earlier?

    Cheers for your help mate

Cheers for the offer of helping mate, that was good of you!

Like you, I've got both my boys to look after as the wife works all weekend. The baby has a cold at the moment and my 4yr old can talk more than a bunch of old women at a convention, lol.

I'll give it a go in a bit and let you know how I got on.

    Cheers again!
