    Default Copycat Ford!!

    All,

Have been browsing the new 2007 Ford Mondeo pics on the net and found that they have near identical wheels to Vauxhall's 19" snowflake design. From what I can gather the geezer who designed the Vectra C & Signum who Vauxhall employed from Audi has now moved on to Ford.

Guess he has brought the design paperwork with him on the wheels then!

You do know the Mondeo used in Casino Royale was actually a pre-production mule, right?

The pic above was taken at the set of Casino Royale, and according with Daniel Craig (James Bond) the car was a prototype with an Automatic transmission and only PNRD gears.

Talking wheels here Kowalski, the car maybe a mule but I bet the wheels make production as they have been so succesful for VX.

They are slightly different, but overall the same, thank god that designer has jumped ship again, and if my memory serves me correct he didn't design the Vectra, he came in and stripped it out yr by yr, might have had something to do with the facelift design though, anyway he's gone so he can now ruin the new Ford Focundeo and from what's banding around right now the D will be a more appealing look anyway, getting back to the wheels, they look awful on the Ford and Vx don't take old style wheels and put them on new models anyway.

They are the same as the wheels on the focus St and the Smax, and yep, same designer ... and the lambo wheels are strikingly similar as well !!

The Mondeo may well indeed have been a PPP, but that is exactly how it will look in ST guise, due for launch in 2008.
