    Default boost gauge grommet

    wheres the best place to feed the vaccum pipe through for fitting my boost gauge?

    its a cdti 16v

    There's a grommet behind the drivers side air vent that goes through to where the wiper motor is. Easiest way to do it is take the wiper motor assembly out and feed it through from the engine bay side. That's how I ran mine.

    i found a grommet just beside the pollen filter

    i ran it through there behind the dash

    this is the boost gauge im using

    couple problems though, my boost gauge with the engine turned off and idling it sitting at 5psi

    when i floor it the needle is going all the way round to nearly the 30 on the other side

    whats the standard boost on a cdti 16v?

    also getting the vibrating noise from the gauge too i heard someone had

    Well the cdti boost high mate standard iirc it's some like 24 psi
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    O and how have you connected ya boost gauge ??
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    into the pipe just before the manifold, i dunno if the gauge can be callibrated or not

    im guessing its working right if its 24psi, just need the needle to rest at 0

    Sounds about right mate also yours is tuned so its very likely you will see 30m/b o boost more maybe a little higher any piks of the connection matey please

    1.9 cdti boost to 20 psi might peak a little above but should settle

    yeah ill go get one, mines is actually into the rubber pipe though using sealant onto the connector i used

    ive pressure tested the pipe at my work and it dosnt leak so its all good

    mine boosts up to 22.9 psi with after market intercooler on but settles down to about 21.9 acording to tourque pro oh and its a reconditioned turbo
