Possible Alternator failure or just a dirty ABS Plug connection under the bonnet.

There is a large Multi Plug on top of the ABS unit, just behind the battery box. It can be the source of the steering wheel light. Most suggest just removing the plug, give it a blast with contact cleaner or WD40 and refit. If you have a Multimeter its also worth while just testing the battery with the engine running. Voltage should be between 13.5 and 14.4v, if it is this will rule out the alternator.
