    Default Windscreen help

    Hi guys, i know it sounds a bit unimportant but ive got a chip in my drivers eye line so needs to be done, if i get autoglass to fix it and i claim through the insurance (25 quid excess) do i have to declare everytime i get a new quote that ive claimed for a windscreen repair?

    It doesn't usually affect your NCB to have a windscreen replaced and is not considered a claim - however check with your own insurance company as they all seem to have different policies and they may be different. Phone them and they will tell you.

    I did that's why I'm asking on here lol. They said the same but couldn't say whether I had to declare it each time.

    You don't need to declare a windscreen claim, as depending on you insurance (I get 3 glass claims free on mine per year)

    Not nowadays.

    Direct Line, Churchill, Tesco, and quite a few others charge anything from £10 to £25 for a chip repair. You need to look at the Ts & Cs of your policy.
