    Default just a quick one

    How long to change both rear shocks on a 1.8 sri hatch ,know my way round a tool kit was a fitter for a living just never done the job before,got a lot on at the min so just tryin to find a gap to fit it cheeres

    About 5 minutes a side. It's literally two bolts, one top, one bottom and there's nothing else to do to change the shocks.

    Took me a bit longer than that, but then again I was working at floor level and not on a car lift. Actually it took me 5 mins just to remove one wheel - find trolley jack in garage, remove wheel, brush dirt off the area I was working on etc. You should get it done well within an hour if you include getting all the tools out and putting them away again.

    You'll need a T18 and T20 torx socket, IIRC to undo the top and bottom bolts holding the shock to the car.
