    Default tow bar electrics

I had a tow bar on my car and took it off and tied the electrics and plug uo the bumper I have just rested the spare wheel on the bumper and it's rattling like mad so can only think it's the plugs banging can I just get some pliers and cut the plugs off the wiring

    In theory yes you can.

but you need to isolate circuit really as any live could short if the cables touch the chassis/ bobody if its a genuine tow bar look in REC an trace cables should be able to disconnect an then no hassle If you decide to refit in future

    unplug the box marked red
    and the plug marked blue

the plug marked blue, you may well have a plug of the same type/fitting tucked away,if so and it fits the slot then plug it into the rec.

    Default

the module marked red is the canbus part of the towbar wiring, yes just remove it

the 1 marked in blue will be the 1 that runs to the towbar, unless its not the complete harness and its been patched into lower down.

remove rear boot panel and check.this will also make it easier to remove the wiring anyway
