Smile Toyo 888 tyres fitted and boy can I tell!!!

They are noisier than a teenager with a drum kit...

I'm still wearing them in as they went on at 16:00 today

Once they have had a full day to roughfen up the surface I'll test them out and tell you what they are really like

If you do alot of town driving or driving at low speeds, these tyres are not for you though. When I'm slowing down for lights and the like, it reminds me of a turbine engine shutting down; they make more noise than the engine upto about 2000rpm...

    All round or just front?

    Semi slicks the R888's are?

Cracking tyre but not an all weather tyre. T1Rs are superb

    Just on the front.

T1-Rs are definatly the best tyre I have tried upto now but I don't know what these are like yet.

They look mean, take a butchers...

They weigh 11kg each and cost £178.99 to order dirrect from http://www.toyo.co.uk, so I think £180 fitted was a bargin! (AFG Tyres Watford)

I went out for another drive

Funny how just a new set of tyres can make the whole car seem like a new toy again...

I haven't noticed a large increase in torque stear with these, though it was pretty heavy already. They are really gripping hard now, I recon I'll be getting a better time at the Pod this year.

Why not do the rears as well Nut? Going to have quite a weird handling car with semi slicks on the front and normal type tyres on the rear?

Have to agree on the michelins mate I have them on mine and they are **** , understeers badly and loses traction in the wet at 50mph in 3rd gear

the car came with good years on as new and they were soo much better than the michelins(better grip and less understeer)
