Default veccy 1.9 cdti sri 120 engine started cutting out again

Hi,a few months ago i posted a thread saying that my 2006 1.9cdti sri 120 engine would cut out for no apparrent reason. As suggested i cleaned EGR ,boost valve ,renewed vaccuum pipes and finally tried Red x which did seem to fix problem. But it has started happing again ,at low and high speeds .I travel to work on dual carriageway and motorway 5 days a week so cant see its anthing clogging up.Everytime it cuts i start it up with no problems ,i check it with a code reader but nothing shows up and reset spanner light.Any ideas chaps

Yes completely stripped EGR and refitted with new gaskets ,to be honest wasn't clogged up .Had EGR replaced when first bought car 3yrs ago this problem is not the same ,car runs normally with no loss of power usually dosn't go into limp mode but engine just cuts out.NO fault codes showing.

For the car to cut out, either air intake or fuel delivery must be incorrect.

    So, for air intake:-
    air filter restriction (unlikely),
turbo malfunction (probably wouldn't cause cut out),
throttle body butterfly flap physically not free to move properly or electrically not working (more likely)
    exhaust restriction

    And fuel inlet:
Fuel supply fault - LP/HP pump failing, filter restriction, fuel hose restriction or rail pressure fault
Injector fault (unlikely to cause cut out)
Timing problem - intermittent camshaft sensor issue causing fuel to be injected at the wrong time.

The ECU controls much of the above, so there are a number of things that could happen that result in the ECU cutting the fuel supply for example although you would hope to see an eml. If you have access to running a live diagnostic whilst driving and look for anomalies when the fault occurs then this could help diagnose. It's often difficult when no error codes are available to view, but faults can be viewed in live diagnostics that don't necessarily throw up emls.

Do you lose power before the cut-out or is it just instant engine off?

Thanks for your reply ,you seem very clued up think to technical for me.My code reader does run live data but the cutting out is so random it would be difficult to notice especially driving on my own.

    Injector wiring loom?

Actually also check what dieselwig said as it sounds like a fuel sender unit clogged
