Does sound like a blocked dpf, im pretty sure that even a forced regen ( if the dpf was more towards 100% saturated) only takes it down to around 70% to allow the car to do a normal regen so could well have blocked back up quite quickly, another reason could be that the dpf has collapsed inside causing blockage, what i would do is remove the dpf have a look inside if its not collapsed drill a couple of holes in it for now to get it running tidy and eventually remove it all together and have software taken off, best thing i ever done and had no probs since, flew mot aswell :-)

Yes done that, then took it out and drilled holes. Car still starts, wont rev and there is smoke coming from the smaller tubes on DPF, also from the front manifold just below were it mounts to the engine. Seems to be choking up the engine. There is no back pressure from anywhere so I,m scratching my head!!

Drop the dpf off the front exhaust section and run the engine to see if it revs.
If it does, reconnect the dpf with the rear section off and see if it revs.
If it does then it must be a blocked rear section exhaust box.

Would that cause the smoking and not being able to rev up?

What do you think it means...........I mean if you think logically about it

Your checking the dpf isn't blocked, if it isn't then its the rear box that's blocked logically because its the only thing that will cause it to not rev up due to restricted gases not clearing the system.

Cat's to do the same when the cat collapses and goes into the rear box blocking the system so the car wont rev up.

I went through a similar thing with another forum member a few weeks ago.
