    Default H3 LED Light

    Hi,

Has anyone fitted LED H3 lights on their fog lamp? I'm trying to find one with built in resistor, but had no luck. You can install a external resistor but they can get very hot, so it needs mounting somewhere sensible and waterproof but not sure where.

Here is an example of my finding but not the right one.

Don't think all your time and effort will justify the end result mate, led bulbs have nowhere near the light output of a conventionalbulb, just my opinion you understand,if your set on changing them put an hid kit on get right one and everything is waterproof, and they are very reasonably priced

As above, LED bulbs are bright to look at ie someone looking at the car. But, they do not project the light infront of the car. This is why LED's are used as DRL's and Sidelights (these are to make the car more visible to other road users). Lights designed to help you see the road infront need to be the conventional type or hid's. I think some manufacturers like Audi etc are developing LED headlights but they will be OEM and i presume super expensive.

I understand where you guys are coming from, but its not the light output i'm after, its the colour of the light, as the fog lights are hardly of any use even in fog in my opinion, i just want to use it like drl with the sidelights.
