Lightbulb Market research not a for sale thread

I have been looking in to this carbon dipping (water transfer printing)

I work in graphics ect supplying to trade mainly so this has all sorts of options for the sign industry but what I want to know is if you could have your alloys printed with just about any pattern you want from carbon fiber to woodland scenes what would you pay for it?

I paid £90 per wheel to have my 5 20" alloys sandblasted, powdercoated, cardon dipped and laquered.. They were done by a m8 who owns www.Pitstopdesigns.co.uk

Carbon fibre or some other texture would be nice. Don't think I'd want pretty pictures...

How durable is the material they are dipped in? Is it carbon or is it a material made to look like carbon? I think some GSI slabs with a chequer plate design on would look cool! I have a warped sense of what is cool!

the actual image is ink then its given a top coat of lacquer so its as strong as the lacquer is as you can get heat proof lacquer you can also do stuff such as the head

I seen pictures of an inlet manifold for a fiesta done in carbon fiber very tasty

your wheels would have been powder coated black first then the bits you wanted to stay black would have been masked up and the wheel sprayed with a primer then it would have had the transfer put on then given a clear coat in either matt, satin or gloss
