    Default DA - Convince me

    Hey all,

Now that i am an owner of a black car - I need convincing that spending a few £££ on a DA Polisher is the way forward?

From what i have read here and other places, the ones to go for are either the Kestral DAS6 or the Meguiars G220 v2

Do these really make that much difference than polishing the car by hand?

And, are they really easy to use? Kinda freaks me a bit putting a turny whurry thing near my paint work!!

    Cheers
    Aidi

Could i ask why you have a preference for the das 6 over the G220 v2?

Aidi , actually there is not a lot of difference between the two , except the price
I have owned both a g220 v1 and also my curent one is a das 6 pro
The only real difference between the G220 v1 v v2, Das 6 v Das6 pro is the more powerfull motor and the longer electrical lead on the new versions otherwise they are identical

That sells it to me mate. Looked on ebay and as said, loads on offer there. Reading various stuff at the moment on how to use one - from a beginners perspective! Ill read a bit more and then make the plunge and get one bought.

Excellent thread. Me and my mate have been saying we should get one for ages but we don't have the bottle.

Just watching a few of the videos on YT to see what its all about. I'm lucky at the moment that the paint on my car is not too swirly, so correction is not too much of the issue, it will mainly be for keeping it nicely polished and waxed.
