Default From Vec C to Insignia but what model?

I have had the 03 Veccy for a while now and really fancy a change and that is the only reason I want rid

We have looked at BMW X3 M Sport nice but pricey and not willing to pay 18k for an 08 model with the old 150bhp engine

Audi A3 S Line again nice car but was a bit cramped in the back with the kids in and the room was not much for me the driver!

Seat Leon Fr Nice and pokey and love the looks with the BTCC kit on it but the boot space seems small.

So that leaves with Mondeo or Insignia and I am not a happy Ford man so it leaves the latter

I quite like the Insignia in the 2.0 CDTi SRi VX Line model and have a found a nice white one with 20"

What models do you guys drive and what is the best?

I bought an Elite for the ride comfort, but spec'd it with flexride so I get the choice of normal, very comfortable or the sport SRi setting. Cracking option and the Elite comes with loads of toys as standard anyway. Depends what you're after at the end of the day...

I have just got an Insignia Elite - but not with Flexride (i wish). Top spec and nice to drive. Went for this so i didnt have to go through the mod thing again as i did with the Vectra!!

My dad has a 2010 Estate SRi CDTI, with 20" penta alloys, full leather and most of the toys. It is an awesome car. Plenty of power, I can't think of anything else you'd want in a car and I think it cost him about £11k last year some time.

From what I can see the only difference is the elite gets leather, elec rear windows and other little bits? I guess I could always add the VXR bits ;-)

Dan I really like the K1 and very tempted to buy the petrol but I am being reminded we will not get all the surfing stuff in the boot. Thats fine the kids can get the train lol

New Mondeo looks nice as well and probably better spec'd than the Insignia as standard

Don't worry too much about the VXR kit - it's just stick-on front and rear spoilers and side skirts that look horrendous and have nothing in common with the ACTUAL VXR (except possible the side skirts, not sure). If you can get a VX-Line model it'll come with them anyway (saving you 1500 quid over a dealer fitted price) and comes with the VXR steering wheel and gear knob, but I/m planning on getting them separately anyway.

I'd also say a Nav model has a much nicer looking centre colour screen, whether you use the satnav or not...
