i went up the road to ats and they said £430 suply and fit, the steelers want £590 ex vat just for the part......

anybody found a way round this i also got my mot coming up in february and will this cause problems...not what i needed at this time of the year.

MIJ just cut my old flexi out and welded a new one in for about £55, no need to replace the CAT if it's fine.

Edit: read the whole thread Ian, read the whole thread... I'd still get it checked at a specialist place like MIJ or Powerflow, they may be able to do it still. If it IS part of the CAT as such then you're stuffed though.

i wouldnt trust kwik fit with a push bike let alone a car, i'd get a professional opinion, they are well known to make up work needing doing aswell

I had this problem because i also have a downpipe and cat in one, what i done was get a down pipe for a 55 reg with a dpf about £32 from ecp split cat of mid section and weld a matching flange onto cat the same as a dpf and bolt it onto new downpipe so it splits as on the later cars, i made a flange out of some 4mm plate and use the new downpipe as a template
