    Default Winter Wheels ?

Hi guys. I'm thinking of giving my 19" Snowflakes a "winter break". My car is a 2004 preface 3.2 Gsi, and I have been offered a set of 16" wheels. Will I be able to use these and just swap them over, or do I need to think about anything else, the car has also been lowered (by previous owners).
If I can just swap them, can anyone identify the style/type of wheel, and if indeed they are original Vectra C wheels ?

The tyres fitted to them are 215/55/16's

    Thanks

    Woody

all vectra alloys are just a straight swap as far as i am aware mate unless you have the vxr breaks in which case you will need alloys that will clear the calipers and i dont think these do

Thats the standard tyre size for 16 inch wheels. so apart from brake calipers catching, they should be spot on.

Those wheels will be fine with 314's, the standard space saver is only 16 to. That wheel looks like it is a 16" structured steel wheel, with a plastic wheel trim that gives them an alloy wheel look. Common over the Vec, Zafira and Astra.

i think they look cool with the cover off lol

im getting a set of winter wheels so i can run winter tyres, wouldnt change just to preserve the alloys. winter tyres make a big difference on wet or greasy roads and in snow and ice too

Thanks guys, but are you saying that these 16" wheels won't clear my calipers ? I remind you I have a preface 3.2 gsi but as far as I'm aware, the brakes are as originally supplied with the car. Your advice much appreciated

Sorry, me being thick here I reckon. Do you mean 314 as in tyre size ? If so, what is the rest of the measurements (I know 16 will be there at the end LOL)

he means the wheels will clear your 314mm brake discs and someone mentioned that if you have fitted VXR brakes that is the only instance in which they would not fit.

Thanks Forde, Das, Ben50n & antowens, all much appreciated guys.
Ok, last question and I'm all "clear" LOL. The car was originally supplied with 17" wheels and 215/50/17 tyres, are the tyres fitted to these 16" wheels an appropriate match, I'm thinking that they are, but just wanted a double check
