Factory fitted tinted windows

I've asked this in the past but never really had an answer...

My Signum has factory fitted tinted rear and back windows, but is it literally tinted glass or a film applied onto the glass?

No real reason for asking other than curiousity...

it will be tinted glass not film. rang a few tinting firms n they all said if glass was already tinted it would be the glass and not a film

Thanks for that v6signum. It's absolutely flawless, not a hint of a bubble and so on so I suspected it was the glass.

Reviving old thread. Were you talking about this kind of tint?
I'm thinking of applying tint film on this kind of tinted glass.

that is factory tinted glass... and if you want to do the rears you are just fine.
