    Default signum 2.2 dt fault codei po234-5a

    hi im getting fault code po234-5a on my signum 2.2 dti 2004 when i put my foot down in 4th or 5th when cruising ive replaced vacuum hoses with new ones even tried adjusting actuator rod as been suggested on here but still does it is there anything else i can try ?

    Have a check of the pipes (about 2"-3" in diameter) that go into and out of the aftercooler. I had the same problem (don't know about the fault code mind) and there was a split in one of the hoses, so the engine wasn't getting the boost.

    As above . p0234 is denoting that the engine is in overboost condition which usually denotes too much air getting into the system check your large intercooler hoses remember that you have two at the bottom of the intercooler as well as the three at the top of the engine .
    Failing that check that all the vacuum hoses are the right way around , the solenoids are marked IN and LOAD to denoate which way they go , while your doing this check that the solenoids are actually giving you a vacuum as these often go faulty and they do not generate a fault by themselves , all you will have is a generic fault code like p0230/4
    Failing that ,clean the boost sensor that may be giving false readings if dirty

    thxs every one have checked intercooler hoses all look good and cleaned boost sensor.
